Hello there friends! I’m pretty proud of myself! I have become more consistent in posting on here. It’s something I wanted to do, and it seems, now more than ever, my mind and heart are overflowing with things to talk about. Obviously, most of my posts on here relate to my personal pursuit after Jesus, however, be expecting some new things on the horizon. =) Pretty exciting stuff.
I anticipate this to be a rather short blog. However, the topic is an endless one. I think you could find scripture after scripture in both the Old and New Testament about it. However, for the sake of you staring at a bright screen, I will attempt to be brief.
I read a passage of scripture this morning, before work, that set my mind working all day. I have the blessed opportunity to have a job that allows me a lot of alone time, where I can pray, meditate, and just think on Him, His word, etc. And that’s what I did today. The scripture is found in Psalms. In chapter 35, we find David praying to God for deliverance from those who are contending with him. It’s rather interesting. Verses 1-10 consist of David’s prayer about them being overtaken by the very traps they’ve set for him, and all the sort. Then, out of nowhere, David’s whole mindset shifts. He says, beginning in verse 11 (this consists of a few verses, so be ready), “Malicious witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I do not know. They repay me evil for good, to the bereavement of my soul. But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer kept returning to my bosom. I went about as though it were my friend or brother; I bowed down mourning, as one who sorrows for his mother.” He goes on to talk about how these people, who he prayed and interceded for, rejoiced then at his stumbling.
Justification is something we deal with here in the natural. Obviously, we know that, in the spirit, our sin is justified by the blood of Jesus, but I speak of a different justification. I’m talking about the want to set things straight when someone talks bad about us. I speak of the desire to speak our minds to those who set themselves to prove we are fake, or bad, etc. However, I believe David has given us the proper response, in the small passage, on how to deal with those who deal treacherously with us personally.
What is that response, you ask? Simple, and very prevalent if you ask me. You pray for them. Simple. Easily practiced. Or is it? When I was thinking about this at work, I was amazed to think about the correlation and relation between Jesus and David. I mean, it was Jesus who said that we should pray for those who persecute us wasn’t it (of course). I have found, from personal experience, that it’s harder to pray for those who are against you than simply speak you mind to them. You know why? Because, just like them, we are blinded by the deception that all we think is true. Therefore, we are truly like them. But that’s the beauty of learning to pray for them. When we pray for those who persecute us, all of the sudden the Lord begins to highlight in us the things that need to change….not for the sake of trying to back down from the people, but for the sake of love. Love always triumphs. Why? God is love. God always wins. Love always wins.
I hope this flowing all right. Simply put, I want to encourage you to pray for those who hurt you. Pray for those who have spread false rumors about it. Pray for them. Pray that the would be blessed. That they would so be filled with a spirit of wisdom of revelation of Him. That they would be in good health. You get the point. I think this is truly coming in the opposite spirit of man, which is what Jesus did.
Try it. I think you’ll find that you’re the one that’ll change LONG BEFORE the one you’re praying for changes.

So true, So true! I love this, I love the word of God. Yes, God proves himslef throught others. I can truly say with honesty and clarity that as you grow in Jesus and you really KNOW him and you know his heart, it is easy to LOVE The ones that are lying on you cursing you and plotting against you. I recently had a very dear brother walk out of my life, yes I was hurt, but God removed the heart and gave me a extra heavt burden of Love for him. It was truly from God, because Flesh wanted me to tell him what he could have done with his opinion. Nevertheless, I am so thankful for Holy Ghost. I am so thankful I truly have the love of Jesus! Thank you awesome man of God for sharing. Truly you and your ministry is a blessing. Be Blessed!! Continue to DANCE Before God and continue to live a Burning life for Almighty YHVH God! We all see Jesus in you.
